I had my older truck in this shop for a starting issue. They fixed that perfectly, job well done. But where they messed up was putting oil in the truck. The truck oil capacity is 10 quarts (which I previously thought it was 15). Not sure if they were aware of the limit, I was not either. The front desk guy, I believe his name was Jeremiah informed me that it was 10 quarts and not 15 quarts. But they put in 12 quarts. Now let me remind you I had not driven this truck with that much oil. When I did go pick it up, it started well, which they fixed, awesome job. But as I drove it, it was very sluggish and a lot of smoke came out of the tailpipe almost causing it to shut off completely. This could have been very dangerous and luckily, I was not far from the shop. When I took it back to them, they drained and put the correct amount and ran well. Luckily nothing was damaged. They did not take any responsibility for their actions whatsoever. They tried to blame it on the customer and it was my fault. I am not the one who overfilled the engine with oil. It was Mason & Sons. I did not hear an “I’m sorry” or “that’s our fault”. Terrible customer service and professionalism when they caused the issue. I will never take my vehicle there again. Good people to speak with, but did not take responsibility for their mess up. I will make sure to inform people about this when they need a car shop in Greenville.
